Practical sessions are held on Mondays at Brentwood School, Brentwood and life classes on Thursdays at the Friends Meeting House, Shenfield from 7.30pm. to 9.30pm. On Monday evenings the sessions are led by a tutor. On Thursday evenings members work from a model, without a tutor.

The Society organizes art weekends twice a year, local art days in the summer, weekend courses, outings and social activities. There are talks and demonstrations from visiting artists, and an annual exhibition is held in November at Brentwood Library. The Society has access to a 19th c Albion printing press and holds a printmaking week each year. The Society has also arranged exchange visits with artists based in the French town, Montbazon.

The annual subscription is £30.00 with a studio fee of £10.00.

Brentwood Art Society is based
in Essex, UK, and was formed in 1958. It is now a thriving organisation that
brings like-minded people together to
share and develop their interest in the
visual arts. There are currently over 40 members and the Society attracts new members each year. The high standard of artwork associated with the group is maintained by both professional and amateur artsits.
